What is a ceremony or speech edit?
A ceremony edit is the complete wedding ceremony, and a speech edit is the complete toasts and speeches, each delivered as its own film of up to 30 minutes. We sync every camera to your audio, cut between angles and clean up the sound. Ceremony edits are $149 and speech edits $129. Both come back in 5 business days with 2 revisions.
Who orders them
- Couples who want every word. Highlight films borrow a few lines. These edits keep everything.
- Families who couldn’t attend. Grandparents and relatives overseas often watch the ceremony more than anything else.
- Religious and cultural ceremonies where every part matters and nothing should be trimmed.
- Videographers who want a quick delivery. At 5 business days, it’s our fastest standard turnaround. It’s a good way to give your couple something while the main films are in progress.
Audio is the whole job
In a ceremony or speech edit, viewers forgive an imperfect angle. They don’t forgive words they can’t hear. So we start with sound.
Syncing every source
Lav mics on the groom and officiant, a recorder on the lectern, a feed from the DJ’s board, camera scratch audio. We sync them all and choose the clearest source for every moment, switching between them as people speak.
Cleaning what can be cleaned
- Hum and buzz from venue electrics and lighting
- Wind on outdoor ceremonies
- Room echo in churches and halls
- Clothing rustle on lavs
- Level differences between a soft-spoken officiant and a loud best man
Being honest about the rest
We can usually improve poor wedding audio significantly. We can’t recover words that no microphone captured clearly. If audio limits the edit, we say so in the draft notes and use the best available source for every line.

How we cut multicam ceremonies
- Cut on meaning, not on a timer. We go to the speaker, then to the person they’re speaking to, then to the reaction.
- Never cut words. When a camera bumps or someone stumbles, we cover it with another angle, not a jump cut.
- Keep the moments people rewatch: the walk down the aisle, the vows, the rings, the kiss, the recessional.
- Match color across cameras so switching angles doesn’t feel like switching films.
Up to 5 angles per project, drone included.
Can you fix bad audio in a wedding ceremony video?
Often, yes, and significantly. We remove hum, reduce wind and room noise, and balance levels between sources. What no editor can do is recover words that weren’t captured clearly by any mic. If audio limits the edit, we tell you in the draft notes and use the best source available for every moment.
For your next wedding: put a recorder or lav on the officiant and one partner, and ask the DJ for a board feed of the speeches. Redundant audio is the cheapest insurance in wedding film.
What to send for ceremony and speech edits
- Every camera angle that covers the ceremony or speeches, including wide safety shots
- Every audio source: lavs, lectern or podium recorders, the DJ or board feed, camera scratch audio
- The order of speakers for toasts, with names if you have them
- Notes on anything unusual: a reading in another language, a recorder that stopped, a speech that started before a camera was rolling
- Your title style, if you add names or a date
Audio setups that make the cleanest edits
For your next wedding, these setups give an editor the best material:
| Moment | Recommended audio | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Vows | Lav on one partner + recorder near the officiant | Two sources for the words that matter most |
| Readings | Recorder on the lectern or a handheld mic feed | Readers often speak quietly |
| Toasts | Board feed from the DJ + a recorder on the podium | The board feed can clip; the recorder is your backup |
| Room reactions | Camera scratch audio from a wide angle | Laughter and applause add life to the mix |
Redundant audio is cheap insurance. When one source fails, the edit still works.

Frequently asked questions
How many cameras can you handle?
Up to 5 camera angles per project, drone included, plus separate audio recorders. Multicam sync is part of every edit.
How long does editing take?
Turnaround is counted in business days from when we have your complete footage and brief: speech and ceremony edits 5, teasers and social reels 7, highlight films 14, full wedding films and the Complete Suite 21. Studio Plan edits have a 10-day turnaround. Rush (+$99) halves teaser and highlight turnaround.
What if my film needs to be longer than the package length?
Extended length is quoted upfront, before we start, so you always know the price in advance.
How do revisions work?
You review drafts in Frame.io and leave time-stamped comments. Teasers, speech, ceremony and social reels include 2 revision rounds. Highlight films, full films and the trial include 3. In the Complete Suite and Studio Plan, each film keeps its own revisions. Extra rounds are $49 each.
Deliver the ceremony first.
Your first highlight film is $199 instead of $349: 4–6 minutes, 14 business days, 3 revisions, and covered by our 7-day money-back guarantee.
