What is a full wedding film?

A full wedding film, also called a documentary or feature edit, is a 45–90 minute chronological edit of the wedding day: getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, speeches and the reception. It keeps complete moments intact rather than cutting everything to music. With us it’s $449, with the first draft in 21 business days and 3 revision rounds.

Couples watch it to relive the day in order and in full. Families who couldn’t attend often watch it more than the highlight film. It takes a different kind of editing: patience with long takes, clean audio for the whole ceremony and every toast, and multicam coverage that never feels like anything was missed.

What a good documentary edit gets right

The ceremony and speeches stay whole

We don’t trim vows, readings or toasts for length. When we need to cover a jump or a stumble, we cut to another angle instead of cutting words.

Audio you can follow for 90 minutes

Lav mics, recorders and board feeds are synced and balanced. We reduce room noise and wind, and keep levels steady from the bridal suite to the dance floor, so nobody reaches for the volume button every five minutes.

Chronology with rhythm

The film is structured by part of the day, with music and B-roll under transitions, so 60 minutes doesn’t feel like 60 minutes. Chapter markers are available so your couple can jump straight to the ceremony or the toasts.

Consistent color

Every camera is graded to match in DaVinci Resolve, including the hard parts: indoor to outdoor, golden hour to a tungsten-lit reception.

Highlight film or full wedding film?

Many couples want both. The highlight film is for sharing and rewatching. The full film is the record of the day. If you sell both, our Complete Suite bundles a full film, a highlight film and a teaser from the same wedding for $699, which saves $249 compared with ordering the three separately.

How long should a full wedding film be?

Most full wedding films run between 45 and 90 minutes. The right length depends on the day: a short civil ceremony with a quiet dinner might be complete at 45 minutes, while a long religious ceremony with many speeches needs closer to 90. Our package covers 45–90 minutes. Tell us your target, and we’ll quote anything longer upfront.

Common problems in documentary edits (and how we avoid them)

Problem How we handle it
Speeches feel endless Cover them with reaction shots and angle changes, never by cutting words
Audio jumps between scenes Level-match every section so volume stays steady
Long stretches with no music Use music under transitions and B-roll between key moments
Color shifts between rooms Grade every scene to one consistent look
Hard to find the ceremony Chapter markers for each part of the day

Frequently asked questions

How many cameras can you handle?

Up to 5 camera angles per project, drone included, plus separate audio recorders. Multicam sync is part of every edit.

What if my film needs to be longer than the package length?

Extended length is quoted upfront, before we start, so you always know the price in advance.

How long does editing take?

Turnaround is counted in business days from when we have your complete footage and brief: speech and ceremony edits 5, teasers and social reels 7, highlight films 14, full wedding films and the Complete Suite 21. Studio Plan edits have a 10-day turnaround. Rush (+$99) halves teaser and highlight turnaround.

How do revisions work?

You review drafts in Frame.io and leave time-stamped comments. Teasers, speech, ceremony and social reels include 2 revision rounds. Highlight films, full films and the trial include 3. In the Complete Suite and Studio Plan, each film keeps its own revisions. Extra rounds are $49 each.

Which editing software do you use, and can I get the project file?

We edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects for titles and motion graphics, DaVinci Resolve for color grading, and Final Cut Pro. Along with the rendered film, we deliver an organized project timeline in your choice of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
